Ascott Japan announced accommodation packages for winter 2026 at eleven Japanese properties, with different benefits at each. Of these, packages at ten properties for stays from December 1, 2026 through January 11, 2027 had opened for booking. Choose an itinerary city—Tokyo, Kyoto, Yokohama, Osaka, or Fukuoka—and suitable benefits, then check actual rates and cancellation terms on the date-specific booking screen.

Different winter-stay benefits in each cityCheck each property’s terms before booking
Packages varied, including champagne and breakfast, a guaranteed Tokyo Tower-view room, a 24-hour Kyoto stay, and a gift exchange between guests. The common official notice also said room types, sales quantities, excluded dates, and cancellation terms could differ by property. Listed benefits could change with stock and procurement, so individual terms needed checking immediately before booking.
1. Compare the cities and benefits of the ten properties
The following reflects the official campaign information and September 30, 2026 press release. These are the featured benefits in the announcement; eligible rooms, daily quantities, service times, and availability differ by product.
| Tokyo · Ascott Marunouchi | A staycation for two, including one bottle of Moët & Chandon champagne, party food, and breakfast. |
|---|---|
| Tokyo · Oakwood Premier | The announcement lists a half bottle of Perrier-Jouët Grand Brut, a petit-four box, and breakfast. Check the booking conditions for early check-in, late checkout, and a room upgrade. |
| Tokyo · Oakwood Azabu | Featured benefits include a guaranteed Tokyo Tower-view room, a half bottle of sparkling wine, and two Fujifilm Utsurun Desu cameras. |
| Kyoto · Oakwood Hotel Kyoto Oike | The package describes a 24-hour stay, welcome drink, original tote bag, and breakfast. First read the conflicting check-in and checkout terms discussed below. |
| Yokohama · Citadines Harbour Front | A package with a bottle of sparkling wine, a Strasbourg chocolate square cake, and late checkout. |
| Tokyo · Citadines Shinjuku | The announcement lists a half bottle of champagne, two pieces of shortcake, and late checkout. |
| Osaka · Citadines Namba | Featured benefits include one Gion Kitagawa Hanbee cocktail, a mini cake, breakfast, and late checkout. |
| Tokyo · lyf Ginza | A lucky bag containing original merchandise, skincare items, and a tea advent calendar, plus early check-in or late checkout. Limited to two rooms per day. |
| Tokyo · lyf Shibuya | The same lucky-bag contents as lyf Ginza, plus early check-in or late checkout. Limited to two rooms per day. |
| Fukuoka · lyf Tenjin | The announcement lists a lucky bag, early check-in and late checkout, and a guest gift exchange. Participants choosing to join bring a gift worth about JPY 1,000. Limited to two rooms per day. |
The nationwide eleven-property campaign also included a separate product. Citadines North Shinjuku Tokyo had an opening package for stays beginning on its October 28, 2026 opening date, unlike the ten properties above. This article compares winter packages beginning December 1.
2. Distinguish the booking window from the stay window
| Booking period | September 30, 2026–January 11, 2027 |
|---|---|
| Eligible stay period | December 1, 2026–January 11, 2027 |
| Differences by property | Eligible rooms, sales quantities, excluded dates, and cancellation conditions can vary by package. Recheck room stock and benefit contents on the booking screen. |
A date inside the common period did not mean a promotional room was available. For lyf packages limited to two rooms daily, the original advised selecting dates and checking the actual rooms and benefits first. The announcement contained no fixed rate table for these ten properties.
3. Check the date-specific total and cancellation terms before the headline price
The announcement disclosed package benefits and dates, without a single table of confirmed room rates for the ten properties. Rates could vary by dates, party size, and room; check the total including taxes and service charges at booking.
Ascott Star Rewards, ASR, members were described as eligible for member rates and points benefits. Check each booking page for nonmember access and package-specific membership conditions.
The reviewed campaign information did not establish overseas-issued-card approval, home-currency payment, language assistance, or membership treatment for overseas residents. Check the currency, accepted cards, and cancellation information before paying.
- Compare properties in the same city using matching dates, room location, and breakfast inclusion.
- Consider whether the room rate remains worthwhile if you will not use benefits such as alcohol or cake.
- Check the selected property’s terms for free-cancellation deadlines, guarantee cards, excluded dates, and limited-room conditions.
- The Kyoto introduction and terms show different check-in times; ask the hotel which time applies before booking.
4. The Kyoto 24-hour stay has conflicting official times
The Kyoto introduction and benefits area describe check-in at 14:00 and checkout at 14:00 the next day. However, clause 3 on the same official page says the package applies to Citadines Namba Osaka, while clause 7 states check-in from 15:00 and checkout by 12:00. With a different hotel name and different times, that page alone does not establish which wording governs a Kyoto booking.
Do not treat the Kyoto 24-hour stay, breakfast, or welcome drink as confirmed entitlements; ask the hotel for the applicable conditions before booking.
The introduction also lists a welcome drink chosen from around ten options, an original tote bag, and breakfast. Because the official page contains conflicting terms, the original advised checking both times and benefits before proceeding. This report is not a booking guarantee.
5. International travelers should confirm payment at checkout
The reviewed Ascott campaign materials describe Japanese accommodation dates and property benefits, but do not establish acceptance of a particular overseas-issued card or language assistance. Confirm your card, payment currency, and cancellation/change conditions during booking, and contact the property if anything is unclear.
These are accommodation packages, not foreigner-only rates or tax-free shopping offers. Each product’s screen must establish whether ASR membership is required and whether nonmembers can book the same plan. Do not change flights or stays based on unconfirmed card or language assumptions.

EDITOR'S NOTE · EVERYDAY TRIP
EVERYDAY TRIP Editorial Team’s advice
If your trip already includes Tokyo, Kyoto, Yokohama, Osaka, or Fukuoka, compare totals for two or three properties there. Adding a city for champagne or merchandise may increase transport costs and time.
First decide whether breakfast, alcohol, cake, or a tote bag actually serves your trip. If you will not use all the benefits, compare a standard room rate and assess whether the additional cost is reasonable.
The Kyoto page has inconsistent check-in and checkout wording. Confirm the applicable times with the hotel; for other properties, check cancellation deadlines and room limits. Do not base an itinerary or payment decision on unconfirmed overseas-card acceptance or language support.
