For convenience-store desserts in Japan, the original report explained FamilyMart’s six reformulated-cream items and two release dates. Cream puffs, a roll cake, and cake were scheduled for October 13, 2026; an éclair, pudding, and crêpe for October 20. Four products were renewed and two added, with published tax-inclusive prices of JPY 199–298.

Three products October 13; three October 20Six desserts using the new cream
FamilyMart’s October 6 announcement said it was changing its whipped cream for the first time in eight years, alongside newly blended fresh cream under the name Mugen Cream (無限クリーム). Custard cream was outside this reformulation.
1. Release dates and prices for the travel calendar
The following are the announced planned release dates and published prices including 8% tax. English descriptions help identify the items; compare the accompanying original Japanese names on the shelf.
| Planned release | Product name | Tax included |
|---|---|---|
| October 13 | Generously filled double cream puff クリームたっぷり!ダブルシュー |
JPY 199 |
| October 13 | Fresh-cream roll cake: new product 生クリームロールケーキ |
JPY 213 |
| October 13 | Almost-all-cream cake: new product ほぼクリームのケーキ |
JPY 248 |
| October 20 | Double-cream éclair ダブルクリームエクレア |
JPY 298 |
| October 20 | Melting pudding with cream クリームに溺れるとろけるプリン |
JPY 248 |
| October 20 | Famima the Crêpe, fresh chocolate ファミマ・ザ・クレープ 生チョコ |
JPY 270 |
For travel October 13–19, look first for the initial three products, not all six from October 13. Dates reflected the announcement; actual delivery and sales needed checking at the branch.
2. How the two new cakes differ
The official fresh-cream roll-cake page described a soft roll using Hokkaido fresh cream, scheduled October 13 for JPY 213. The official almost-all-cream-cake page described sponge layered with fresh cream and topped with whipped cream, scheduled the same day for JPY 248.
The displayed difference was JPY 35. Similar names did not mean the same form: one was a roll and one a cake. Choose texture and portion from the actual package. This report was not a personal tasting or flavor ranking.
3. Nationwide launch is not the same as stock at every branch
The operator announced nationwide sales for the six while explicitly allowing regional differences in prices, release dates, and specifications, plus nonhandling at some stores/areas. Check the actual branch even in Fukuoka, Osaka, or Tokyo.
FamilyMart’s official store locator could identify branches near accommodation or a route, but finding a store did not confirm dessert inventory. No end date for these regular products was stated, so sales through a future trip were not guaranteed.
The price table used ordinary-product information, excluding short-term extra-volume offers, lottery coupons, and gifts. The announcement did not establish overseas-card acceptance or Korean-language service, so no particular payment method was guaranteed.

EVERYDAY TRIP Editorial Team’s advice
Mark release dates on the itinerary first. The initial three were options in the first week, with the later three from October 20. Rather than visiting multiple shops for all six, begin with one along the route.
Save one or two Japanese product names. Cream desserts often have similar names. Compare the table’s Japanese names with the shelf label to reduce mistaken purchases.
Plan purchases around eating time. Check storage, use-by, and allergen labels. Before a long journey, first consider suitable storage. Choose a store on the current route rather than traveling to the old branch in the photograph.
