For a return trip from Fukuoka toward Kashima in Saga Prefecture, the original report introduced a new digital discount ticket. Kasasagi de Go! Digital Ticket was announced for sale in the my route app from October 20, 2026. The adult return fare between Hakata and Hizen-Kashima/Hizen-Hama was JPY 4,260, including ordinary-car nonreserved limited-express travel.

The cover was based on an August 2026 photograph of Hizen-Kashima Station.
JAPAN NOW · FUKUOKA & SAGA · CHECKED 2026.10.18
Adult return: Hakata JPY 4,260; Saga JPY 1,820One return trip, valid through the day after activation
As of the original October 18 check, sales had not begun. JR Kyushu announced the product October 13, and my route’s operator followed October 16. Choose for the travel date and departure station, then check the app conditions.
1. Price depends on departure station
| Travel section | Adult | Child |
|---|---|---|
| Hakata ↔ Hizen-Kashima/Hizen-Hama | JPY 4,260 | JPY 2,120 |
| Saga ↔ Hizen-Kashima/Hizen-Hama | JPY 1,820 | JPY 900 |
The advertised maximum JPY 2,000 saving applied to the adult Hakata route, normally JPY 6,260. The adult Saga route was JPY 1,200 below its usual JPY 3,020.
The product combined a return basic-fare ticket with nonreserved limited-express travel. It allowed one return trip in ordinary-car nonreserved seats on eligible conventional limited-express, rapid, or local trains. Reserved seats required a separately purchased reserved-seat limited-express ticket, and the Kyushu Shinkansen was not included. This was not a seat reservation.
2. Distinguish the final sales date from the final travel date
| Category | Period and conditions |
|---|---|
| Sales period | October 20, 2026–January 31, 2027 |
| Use period | October 20, 2026–February 1, 2027 |
| Dates on which use can begin | Only within the sales period; last start date January 31, 2027 |
| Validity of one ticket | The activation date and the following day: two consecutive calendar days |
It was not valid for a rolling 48 hours after pressing the activation button. For example, activation January 31 allowed use through February 1, but a new use period could not begin February 1. Match both outbound and return dates to these limits.
Limited inventory meant sales could finish before January 31 once the allocation was reached. Do not assume stock remains immediately before travel; check the app after sales begin.
3. Buy in the app and follow each station’s QR procedure
Sales were limited to the my route app. The Japanese product name was かささぎでGo!デジタルきっぷ. Downloading the app was free, but purchase required membership and a registered payment method such as a credit card. New registration used a TOYOTA account and an email verification code; existing TOYOTA account holders could sign in following the guidance. Prepare on the smartphone you will take.
If the product is missing after sales open, check app language too. The official FAQ said that if Japanese tickets did not appear on an English-language phone, users should switch the app language to Japanese. A Korean-language information website did not establish a Korean app interface.
Even a supported card brand could face issuer-specific registration or use restrictions. The original did not guarantee South Korean-issued cards; overseas travelers should likewise check their own issuer rather than assuming approval. For errors, use the card’s contact details.
Select the purchased ticket under my チケット, then press 利用開始 to begin use. Buying ahead does not mean activating ahead; activate for the actual travel schedule. Gate procedures then vary by station.
- Hakata and Saga stations: Present the ticket-screen QR code to the QR reader on the automatic gate.
- Hizen-Kashima Station: Present the ticket-screen QR code to the dedicated reader.
- Hizen-Hama Station: Open the ticket screen’s scan function and scan the station-gate poster’s 乗車 boarding or 降車 alighting QR code yourself. Use the appropriate one for boarding versus arrival.
For on-board inspection, show the digital ticket screen in the app.
EDITOR'S NOTE · EVERYDAY TRIP
EVERYDAY TRIP Editorial Team’s advice
Begin by comparing a Hakata departure returning the same or next day. Set outbound/return dates and the departure/destination stations before choosing the ticket. If you want a reserved seat, include the separate reserved-seat limited-express charge in the comparison.
After sales start, check product visibility, email-verified membership, and card registration in order. Installing the app alone does not establish that the discount ticket can be purchased, so do not finalize the budget on that assumption.
For Hizen-Hama, remember the direction of QR scanning. Unlike stations that read the app’s code, Hizen-Hama requires the phone to scan the station poster’s boarding/alighting code. Leave time at the station to open the app and confirm the procedure.
