The original report directed travelers considering Fukuoka or Nagasaki accommodation to October 19 at 13:00. Trip.com was to begin accepting bookings for hotels in the two prefectures under the Kyushu Recovery Support Discount, 九州ふっこう応援割. Accommodation was discounted by up to 50%; on Trip.com, only one-night bookings qualified, with a discount cap of JPY 20,000 per person .

Check both the booking and stay dates
In both prefectures, only eligible bookings newly completed after sales began qualified. The schedule below is specific to Trip.com and must be distinguished from other booking websites and direct hotel reservations.
| Region | Booking period | Eligible stays |
|---|---|---|
| Fukuoka Prefecture | October 19 at 13:00–December 15 at 23:59 | Nights of October 19–December 15 Checkout by December 16 |
| Nagasaki Prefecture | October 19 at 13:00–December 25 at 23:59 | Nights of October 19–December 25 Checkout by December 26 |
All dates are in 2026 and all times are Japan local time. When checked in the 07:00 hour on October 19, the participating-hotel list was scheduled for release at 13:00 that day. This was not a confirmed list of rooms or hotels available to book at the time of this translation.
The final payment matters more than the label
Eligible accommodation products displayed the 九州ふっこう応援割 label and a price with the reduction already applied. There was no need to obtain a coupon or enter a code, and the displayed price was not reduced by a further 50%. Not every hotel, room, or rate plan qualified.
Sales could finish during the announced period if the budget ran out. Even if the label remained visible, the discount might not apply if funds were exhausted before booking completion. Check the final price on the booking confirmation screen . Fukuoka’s FAQ said accommodation tax and bathing tax were generally excluded from the discount.
Preparation for international visitors
The source states that Fukuoka included visitors to Japan and Nagasaki imposed no nationality restriction. Nagasaki’s FAQ required foreign visitors without an address in Japan to present their passport at the hotel. On the stay date, the representative had to sign a certificate of use at the accommodation.
The discount could not be applied retroactively to bookings made before sales began. Changes and cancellations followed each booking’s cancellation policy; changing a booking so it no longer met the conditions could alter or void the discount. Before canceling an existing room, the original advised checking its cancellation fee and whether a new discounted room was actually available.
EVERYDAY TRIP Editorial Team’s advice
The original advice was to choose the prefecture and one-night date, then consult participating rooms after the 13:00 launch. Compare the final total including taxes and cancellation terms, rather than the percentage alone. The announced end date did not guarantee funds would last until then.
