For weekday morning subway travel in Fukuoka in late November, the source announced a new Nanakuma Line timetable. Fukuoka City Transportation Bureau said four round trips would be added during the 7 a.m., 8 a.m., and 9 a.m. hours from Tuesday, November 24, 2026. It was relevant to journeys involving Hakata, Kushida-jinja-mae, and Tenjin-minami.

This archive photograph shows a Nanakuma Line 3000A-series train at Tenjin-minami in 2022, not conditions after the announced increase.
Timetable revision November 21; extra services begin November 24
The October 13 announcement gave Saturday, November 21 as the timetable revision date, but the weekday morning increase began Tuesday, November 24. It did not mean additional trains on every day from November 21.
The change aimed to ease commuting and school-hour crowding on the Nanakuma Line. Saturday/holiday schedules remained unchanged, and the Airport and Hakozaki lines were outside this revision.
How many additional Hakata-bound morning trains?
The official comparison used the busiest section, Hakata-bound between Yakuin and Watanabe-dori, as its train-count basis. Do not read the figures as departures from another station or a total for both directions.
| Hour | Before revision | After revision |
|---|---|---|
| 7 a.m. hour | 12 services | 13 services |
| 8 a.m. hour | 18 services | 20 services |
| 9 a.m. hour | 12 services | 13 services |
Some times outside the morning period also changed. The notice checked October 20 said new station-specific timetables would be published later online and at stations. The report did not insert individual departures that had not yet been confirmed.
Check both travel date and line
For Hakata toward Kushida-jinja-mae and Tenjin-minami, check the Nanakuma timetable. Airport journeys require Airport Line information separately; this announcement did not mean more airport trains.
EVERYDAY TRIP Editorial Team’s advice
For weekday mornings from November 24, check the official timetable for the actual boarding station and direction before leaving. With large bags or a connection such as a Shinkansen, do not reduce your transfer allowance simply because more services were announced.
